Tulum is a place on the Caribbean coastline of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. It’s known for its beaches and well-preserved ruins of an ancient Mayan port city. This is the first time I’ve visited Tulum and let me tell you, I LOVED it! Well, except for the fact that the mosquitoes where eating me alive. Of course thinking to myself, I’ll be fine and surely enough I had bites all over my legs. P.S. if people from Tulum tell you to buy mosquito repellent, just listen to them. Anyways here in this post you will find places I visited in Tulum so if you ever visit you have ideas of where to go!

Tulum es un lugar en la costa caribeña de la península de Yucatán en México. Es conocida por sus playas y ruinas bien conservadas de una antigua ciudad portuaria maya. Esta es la primera vez que visito Tulum y déjame decirte, ¡Me ENCANTÓ! Bueno, excepto por el hecho de que los mosquitos me estaban comiendo viva. Por supuesto, yo pensando, estaré bien y claro que tuve mil picaduras en mis piernas. PD Si la gente de Tulum te dice que compres repelente de mosquitos, solo escúchalos. En fin, aquí en este post encontrarás los lugares que visité en Tulum, así que si alguna vez lo visitas, ¡tienes ideas de dónde ir!
National Park of Tulum – Ruins of Tulum
Azulik
Azulik is currently one of the most visited places in Tulum. I certainly could not miss not coming to this extraordinary place. Its architecture is so impressive it captures the essences of Mother Nature at it’s best. Azulik is a hotel with the most beautiful sunset views with 3 impressive restaurants as well as other great amenities. I had the opportunity to visit two of these restaurants Cenote, and Kin Toh. This is definitely a place you should at least visit to spoil yourself a bit! I loved it!
Ziggy’s Beach Hotel
Ziggy’s hotel is a very relaxing place with great customer service. I enjoyed myself at their cocktail bar as well as their beach club. Come take a swim at the beach!

Laguna Kaan Luum
Laguna Kaan Luum is a hidden treasure in Tulum. This place is so peaceful so you can relax and enjoy swimming in the warm water which is not very high. The reason for this two tone color lagoon is that in the center it is a deep Cenote. Definitely worth the visit before it gets too over crowded

Laguna Kaan Luum es un tesoro escondido en Tulum. Este lugar es muy tranquilo, por lo que puede relajarse y disfrutar nadando en las cálidas aguas que no son muy altas. La razón de esta laguna de dos tonos de color es que en el centro es un Cenote profundo. Definitivamente vale la pena la visita antes de que se llene demasiado.
Casa Jaguar
This place was the first dinner I had when I arrived in Tulum and OMG! it was the best! I had the best drinks and tostadas! I literally ordered the same food twice because I enjoyed it! I also couldn’t not try the dessert! So here I am giving it that love look! The lava cake was amazing!! I 100% recommend it! ( I also recommend reserving for dinner)

¡Este lugar fue la primera cena que tuve cuando llegué a Tulum y OMG! ¡fue el mejor! Tuve las mejores bebidas y tostadas! ¡Literalmente pedí la misma comida dos veces porque la disfruté! Obvio tuve que probar el postre! Así que aquí le doy esa mirada de amor! El pastel de lava fue increíble !! ¡Lo recomiendo 100%! (También recomiendo reservar para la cena)
Alaya Hotel and Retreats
This hotel is also one of my favorites because it also has the essence of nature all around and makes everything very relaxing. It is covered with palm trees everywhere and has a cute little swing. You know me, HAVE to get on it! haha If you are looking for a relaxing place, this will be a good choice.

Este hotel es también uno de mis favoritos porque también tiene la esencia de la naturaleza y hace que todo sea muy relajante. Está cubierto de palmeras por todas partes y tiene un columpio lindo. Tú me conoces, ¡Ovio me tengo que subir! jaja Si estas buscando un lugar relajante, esta será una buena opción.
El Gran Cenote
El gran Cenote is a very popular place to visit while in Tulum. Before entering this natural sink hole each person needs to shower and get rinsed off in order to take a swim. Since this Cenote is one of the many that get visited often, you better come by early if you want to avoid crowds. You have the option to just swim around or snorkel for a small fee. The water is a bit cold but very refreshing! You also get to see little turtles swimming around. Definitely a must visit place!

El gran Cenote es un lugar muy popular para visitar. Antes de entrar en este cenote, cada persona necesita ducharse y enjuagarse para nadar. Dado que este Cenote es uno de los muchos que se visitan a menudo, es mejor que vengas temprano si quieres evitar las multitudes. Usted tiene la opción de simplemente nadar o bucear por una pequeña tarifa. El agua es un poco fría pero muy refrescante! También puedes ver pequeñas tortugas nadando alrededor. Sin duda una visita obligada!
Gitano
Another delicious place that I absolutely LOVED is Gitano! This is another place I had to ask for a second plate of the same food I ordered because I liked it so much! Also, the drinks are so GOOD! I believe I was drinking a nonalcoholic drink and it was very refreshing! 90% of the time, I ask the waiter’s what they recommend and go with what they tell me. In this case, of course, I asked and well also ended up ordering a dessert as well! I recommend this place too! ( Preferably making dinner reservations as well)

Otro lugar delicioso que me ENCANTA es Gitano! ¡Este es otro lugar donde tuve que pedir un segundo plato de la misma comida que pedí porque me gustó tanto! Además, las bebidas son muy buenas! ¡Creo que estaba tomando una bebida sin alcohol y fue muy refrescante! El 90% de las veces, le pregunto al camarero qué recomiendan y elijo lo que me dicen. En este caso, por supuesto, pregunté y ¡también terminé pidiendo un postre! Recomiendo este lugar! (Preferiblemente haciendo reservas para la cena también)
Ana y Jose Charming Hotel and Spa
This charming hotel is divided into two parts. On one side of the street consists of the actual hotel and the other side is the beach club. I just went to enjoy some food and the beach! You know me, eating all day!

Coba – Ancient Mayan City
This Mayan City is not as famous as Chichen Itza which is good because for that reason, tourist are still able to climb up this pyramid and can be less crowded. I certainly was there before it even open for that same reason. This park is so big you can ride a rented bike all around. I decided to walk just to take everything in! The pyramid is so steep you are pretty much crawling up haha so just be careful not to get dizzy and careful on the way down!

Esta ciudad maya no es tan famosa como Chichén Itzá, lo cual es bueno porque, por esa razón, los turistas todavía pueden escalar esta pirámide y pueden estar menos llenos. Por la misma razón, estuve allí antes de que se abriera. Este parque es tan grande que puedes pasear en una bicicleta por todas partes. ¡Decidí caminar solo para disfrutarlo todo! La pirámide es tan empinada que casi se está arrastrando jaja, así que ten cuidado de no marearte cuándo subas y bajes.
Mamasan Treehouses & Cabins
This hotel was where I spent my last day. It has a very romantic and intimate setting. If you are looking to stay in a treehouse this would be it! Just don’t let the mosquitos eat you up like they did with me! haha
