New York has been on my list since I can remember, I finally got the opportunity to go and see it for myself after just seeing it through movies. When I arrived I kept thinking to myself, ‘Will it really look like the movies?’ and well…. It did! I don’t know why I was so surprised but reality hit me and was like ‘OMG I am finally in New York City!’ I arrived really late at night, and all I could see were busy streets! I was thinking, don’t these people sleep here? After a couple of days, I got my answer, and well, no they don’t sleep. There is too much going on at night that people are out and about. The following day, I began my touring and just as expected, everyone was in a rush, on their phones and minding their own business just like in the movies. Life in New York seems so fast paced I just don’t know how people do it. I already feel that time goes by fast but those few days seemed to go twice as fast. Anyhow, I do think New York is so amazing. It has so much to offer, day and night and is full of people from all over, which I love. I am definitely not done exploring and will have to come back a few more times.

Nueva York ha estado en mi lista desde que tengo memoria, finalmente tuve la oportunidad de ir a verla por mí mismo después de verla a través de películas. Cuando llegué seguía pensando: “¿Realmente se verá como las películas?” Y bueno … ¡Tal y como lo eh visto! No sé por qué estaba tan sorprendido, pero la realidad me golpeó y fue como “¡Dios mío, finalmente estoy en la ciudad de Nueva York!” Estaba pensando, ¿estas personas no duermen aquí? Después de un par de días, recibí mi respuesta, y bueno, no, no duermen. Hay muchas cosas que suceden por la noche que la gente está fuera de casa. Al día siguiente, comencé mi tour por la ciudad y, como era de esperar, todos estaban apurados, con sus teléfonos y ocupándose de sus propios asuntos como en las películas. La vida en Nueva York parece tan acelerada que no sé cómo lo hace la gente. Ya siento que el tiempo pasa rápido, pero esos pocos días parecieron pasar el doble de rápido. De todos modos, creo que Nueva York es tan increíble. Tiene mucho que ofrecer, día y noche, y está lleno de gente de todas partes del mundo, lo cual me encanta. Definitivamente no he terminado de explorar y tendré que volver unas cuantas veces más.
The New York Public Library
One of my top destinations to visit in New York was the The New York Public Library. I am obsessed with libraries! And of course reading. Being a fan of Sex in the City, of course I couldn’t let pass the opportunity to visit where Carrie Bradshaw was suppose to get married in the second movie. You should have seen me, I felt like a little girl snapchatting where they filmed. There are sections in the library that I LOVED and didn’t want to leave because it was so beautiful but you know I had to keep moving to my next destination. Anyways, definitely one of my favorite spots in NYC you should visit.
Time Square
Times Square is definitely a must on your list, there are crowds of people and tons of electrical ads that you don’t even know where to look at first. It just makes everything more exciting. The only thing I was surprised with, was the ball that drops on New Years Eve, it’s merely a small sphere. On TV, it looks like an enormous ball but nope, in reality it’s quite small. Nonetheless plenty of entertainment all around and very busy place.

Times Square es definitivamente una necesidad en su lista, hay multitudes de personas y toneladas de anuncios eléctricos que ni siquiera sabe dónde mirar primero. Simplemente hace que todo sea más emocionante. Lo único que me sorprendió fue la pelota que cae en la víspera de Año Nuevo, es simplemente una pequeña esfera. En la televisión, parece una pelota enorme, pero no, en realidad es bastante pequeña. Sin embargo, un montón de entretenimiento por todas partes y un lugar muy ocupado.
Top of the Rock
Rockefeller – Top of the Rock has such amazing views! It was one of the most tourist places I was looking forward to seeing in NYC. I am obsessed with wonderful views like this one. What can I say, you just have to visit for yourself. I am sure that at night it looks magical with everything lit up! I’ll have to go and visit at night !
The Met
The Metropolitan Museum of Art also known as The Met is the largest museum in the United States and it’s one of the most visited museums in the world. So you definitely need more than one day to visit. I had no idea how big it was until I got a map of the whole museum and was like o WOW this place is big! One of my first thoughts I had was a flashback of the movie The Night at the Museum. It is a really fun movie, if you haven’t seen it, you should check it out! Many other entertainment events happen here like The Met Gala every year. It is just fun to see places in real life and not just on TV. Definitely come check it out !
Brooklyn Bridge
Visiting the Brooklyn bridge was so much fun. We got up early before it got crazy to take pictures. Surprisingly enough, there weren’t as many people as I thought BUT I was freezing. We took a while trying to take pictures that we decided to leave before more people got there and before we froze to death. It is definitely and amazing bridge and iconic of course, that I will have to go back then and actually cross it next time.
The Vessel
The Vessel is the newest addition of the Hudson Yards Redevelopment Project in Manhattan. It was completed this March 2019 and I was able to visit. As you can see, my hair is all over the place because it was so windy I couldn’t keep it from flying everywhere. I had asked my mother to take a picture and this was the result! I was unable to go up the vessel because it was too cold for us, so another excuse to come back and visit and actually make it up there.
